POTENTIAL POSITIONS

  • During high attendance screenings we need outgoing and personable volunteers to wrangle the lineups. This position will ensure that attendees are getting where they need to go!

    • Selling tickets, passes

    • Ticket & pass pick-up, checking attendees in

    • Answering general festival questions

    • Cashing in and out and recording of the final attendance numbers (obtained from the Theatre Attendee)

    • Scanning when needed

      *Cash handling experience an asset

    • Scanning pass holders and advance purchase ticket holders in

    • Assisting box office with ticket/pass pick up when needed

    • Handing out voting ballots (if needed)

    • Guiding attendees to their seats

    • Collecting ballots (either paper ballots or electronic ballots) after the screening

    • Final count (and recount) of the theatre attendees

    • May need to lift 20-30lbs when helping attendees with reduced mobility into the theatre

    • Stocking and selling festival merchandise

    • Engaging with attendees in the lobby

    • Cashing in and out at the end of your shift

Volunteers may be required to fill out a health check form for each shift, wear a mask, and be COVID-responsible when dealing with our customers. We respect the health of our volunteers, patrons, and theater staff, as well as the regulations of the theater that is hosting us. (If it becomes necessary to support health precautions at anytime, we will respectfully do so.)
