PRIZE:

The winning artist will receive:

• a $500 cash prize

• 2 x All-Access passes to the festival,

• recognition in our on-screen sponsor reel

• an 11x17 inch version of their poster design displayed in the Metro Cinema lobby, with artist contact info, should anyone wish to order a print

• will be showcased as one of our primary theatrical posters, for street postering, social media images etc.

All runner-up entries will receive:

• 2 complimentary tickets to use for any film screening at this year's festival

The winning entry will be selected by a NorthwestFEARFest jury comprised of staff, board members, sponsors, and community partners.

• Deadline to put your hat in the ring and express interest in submitting your design is 11:59pm, August 20, 2026.

• Deadline to submit your artwork is 11:59pm, September 20, 2026.

• Format: High-resolution digital file (300 DPI)

• Size: 11×17 inch and a 27×40 inch print-ready, portrait orientation, high resolution vector files (in PDF & EPS formats), plus Instagram post and story, and FB post versions in PNG format.

The only things that must be included on the poster are the following:

• Festival dates: October 14–18, 2026

• Location: Metro Cinema

• “NorthwestFEARFest” can be written/drawn out any way you want, you just need to ensure our festival mascot, “Bloody Maggie” or our “Maggie Skull” appears somewhere in the artwork.

• Maggie artwork will be sent to those expressing interest in participating starting August 24, 2026, once the interest call out window closes. They will be sent to the email address you use to submit your interest below.

*Please note, we will need to add a bottom fourth bar with official NWFF logo, sponsor logos, funder logos, and QR code to your final design, so if you are able to leave that area free of complicated design, it will allow us to ensure we are not covering up any of your amazing artwork.
