Here are a few tips/ details for getting there and enjoying your visit:

The Garneau Theatre is easily accessible by public transit:
Route 9 – closest bus stop is just feet away on 109th Street (southbound) or across the street next to Remedy (northbound)
Route 4 and 8 – stops on Whyte Avenue, then it’s a 10 minute walk north on 109 thStreet
University of Alberta Transit station – served by a number of other buses and the LRT, then a 10 minute walk east on 87 ave

The Garneau Theatre is a heritage building located in a lively, mature neighbourhood without a dedicated parking lot. Parking options include:
A couple parking spots in the small lot behind the theatre
Nearby metered City of Edmonton street parking
Limited free parking in nearby residential areas (please read the signs to avoid ‘resident only’ zones)

Please note, as a historical venue, the Garneau Theatre has limited accessibility options. There are steps between the street and the lobby (the washrooms are located on this level), as well as between the lobby/washroom area and the auditorium. It is possible however, to enter the auditorium from an emergency exit.

Metro is pleased to offer a wide range of snacks and popcorn at their concession. As of Sept 8, 2017, they are also able to offer beer and wine in the auditorium, when appropriate.
